Condition

Condition Report as per Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. (11/27/2013): This work is recently restored and could be hung in its current state. The canvas is unlined and is still stretched on its original stretcher. Only the tacking edges have been reinforced. The work is clean, unabraded, and retouched. The retouches are faintly visible under ultraviolet light in a few tiny dots within the trees and the shadows beneath the trees on the left side and in the center, and a few tiny spots in the dark trees on the right. This slight weakness is not abrasion per say but rather was slight instability that is now resolved. The golden glazes in the water are original and undisturbed. The condition is very good.
