round barrel with fore-sight, marked STARR ARMS.Co. NEW YORK on left-side of frame, STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856. on right-side, serial number 39785 stamped on cylinder and on underside of frame, case-hardened hammer, and loading-lever, inspector's letter M stamped on barrel and twice on frame adjacent to cylinder, inspectors' cartouches GKM (left-side), and STB (right-side) of oil-finished walnut grip
