blued round barrel with fore-sight, top-strap marked SPRINGFIELD ARMS CO., cylinder etched with border and floral designs, WARNER'S PATENT / JAN. 1851 marked on right-side of frame, stand of flags and arms on left-side, serial number marked on interior of trigger-guard, also numbered 2 on inside of frame and on left grip, case-hardened loading-lever and hammer, varnished walnut grips
