blued octagonal barrel with fore-sight, marked E. SAVAGE MIDDLETOWN CT / H.S. NORTH. PATENTED. JUNE. 17TH 1856, top of loading-lever marked 295, rear section of loading-lever marked 316, 6-shot gas-seal cylinder, case-hardened hammer and cocking-lever, varnished walnut grips, contained within a mahogany case partitioned and lined with maroon velvet, iron bullet and ball mold, powder flask embossed with dog and two birds, powder-measure spout, gilt-copper tube with primers, L-shaped nipple-wrench, 7 chamber sleeves, key

Together with two framed and matted water-color Patent Drawings (Drawing No. 4), one on calendared paper, the other on paper. Approximately 14-1/2 inches x 6 inches each.
And, original hand-written letter (on blue paper); Specifications for Drawing No. 4, double-sided.
Various models were made, approximately 500 in total.
