U.S.A / NEW-MODEL, serial number 114961 marked on underside of barrel, inspector's mark C on right flat of barrel and twice on frame, W on left flat, J on frame and twice on butt of grips, inspector's cartouche GP on left panel of grip, case-hardened hammer, brass trigger-guard, oil-finished walnut grips
