SHARPS' PAT. / SEPT. 12TH 1848, lock-plate marked  R.S. LAWRENCE PAT. / APRIL 12 1859 / C. SHARPS' PAT / OCT. 5TH 1852., serial number C,24720 stamped on breech-tang, two inspector's cartouches TWR on left side of stock (twice), A.W.M. stamped on saddle-ring base, and also on comb of butt stock near tang of butt-plate
