JENKS / U.S.N. / R.P. / P / 1847 / CAST-STEEL, underside of breech-loading armature marked 3/10, the face of the bolt also marked 3/10, lock-plate marked REMINGTON'S / HERKIMER / N.Y., the interior of the tape-primer lid numbered 183, inspector's cartouche R.P. on left-side of stock, with various inspector stamps, blued hammer, breech mechanism, color case-hardened lock-plate, brass bands and butt-plate, oil-finished walnut stock
