Phipps & Company, Ltd, London, where acquired by the present owner, 31st October 1989
Condition
The sheet is not laid down.
There are two small tears and instances of loss to the upper right and left corners, most probably in line with some old pin holes. There are further pinholes to the upper edge, and slight creasing to the bottom left hand corner.
There are some instances of loss to the black pigment on the upper right hand side. There is a 'C'-shaped crease just above the head of the bird. Elsewhere there are handling marks to the sheet, with very slight cockling, but this excepting the work appears in good overall condition, with strong, vivid colours throughout.
Housed behind glass in a thick white frame.
