Condition
The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered to a backing support via two hinge strips along the top edge. There is a fold to the right hand side of the sheet, not visible in the present mount.
There is a small tear and area of loss to the top left corner, not visible in the present mount, with further handling marks and light creasings to the sheet apparent. There are signs of surface dirt and studio detritus apparent, not wholly visible in the present mount. There is staining to the sheet, most visible in the form of two tabs at the top corners, with further scattered light foxing to the sheet. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition, with strong, fresh passages of impasto throughout.
Housed behind glass in a thin gilt wooden frame, set within a cream card mount.
