Condition
Original canvas.
There is a slight stretcher bar mark running along the top edge, with a further, less noticeable stretcher bar mark down the right hand side and along the centre of the bottom edge, with some minor corresponding fine lines of craquelure. There are some old framing abrasions visible to the extreme edges. There is a small vertical surface abrasion to the centre of the bottom edge. There is a faint line running across the centre of the composition, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence to the white in the upper left quadrant, with a few further, additional spots and traces to the extreme edges and the aforementioned old frame abrasions. These have been very sensitively executed.
Housed in a thick white painted wooden frame.
