Condition

Original canvas. There is some canvas undulation. There is minor surface dirt and traces of surface matter and staining, with slight abrasion to one or two of the thicker globules of raised impasto in the centre of the composition. There are one or two areas of craquelure including to the circular brown elements upper right. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence which appear in keeping with the nature of the artist's materials and techniques. Housed in a thin gilt strip frame.
