Catalogue Note
Les armoiries sont celles de Jean-Ambroise Baston, comte de La Riboisière (1759-1812). Général de brigade en 1803, titré comte en 1808, inhumé dans la crypte des gouveneurs des Invalides. Son nom est gravé sur le côté est de l'Arc de Triomphe et sa statue se trouve rue de Rivoli, sur la façade du Louvre. Un célèbre hôpital parisien porte son nom, fondé par sa belle-fille en 1846. Son portrait, accompagné de son fils, par le baron Gros est visible au musée de l'Armée.
