Une partie de cet important service de table aux armes du prince de Savoie-Carignan est illustrée dans la vente Christie's Genève, 19 mai 1992, n° 167. Pour un ensemble de 24 assiettes de la même année et gravée aux mêmes armes, voir Sotheby's Paris, 25 novembre 2010, n° 140.
Ce service a probablement appartenu à la princesse Elizabeth de Saxe (1830-1912). Elle l'aurait apporté en dot lors de spn mariage en 1850 avec Ferdinand, duc de Gênes, frère du premier roi d'Italie, Victor-Emmnanuel II.
