Condition

The sheet is not laid down but the edges of the reverse taped intermittently to the mat. There are some fine lines of craquelure in the gouache and a handful of associated tiny spots of paint flaking, notably in the bull's horn and the figure's shoulder (just visible in the catalogue illustration). There are some faint creases in the sheet towards the edges. The work is otherwise in good condition. Presented framed and glazed. The colours are somewhat less contrasted and are subtler in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
