The canvas has been relined. Ultra-violet light reveals a handful of scattered very minor spots of retouching. Some of the pigments, notably the light greys, fluoresce under U.V. light however these certainly appear to be the artist's original and not attributable to retouching. This work is in good overall condition and ready to hang. Presented in a varnished wood frame. The colours are warmer overall than in the catalogue illustration and more luminous.
