Overall in very good condition. The Turtleback tiles are in excellent condition with no visible cracks. The turtleback tiles are plated with white opalescent glass to the interior imparting a greater sense of visual depth to the shade. The metalwork in the shade element shows some light rubbing to the high points of the design and light surface soiling to the recessed contours. The patinated bronze displays a particularly deep and vibrant russet brown and green patina. The base with a few light surface scratches, gentle rubbing, and light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design and around the glass jewels consistent with age. All of the green glass jewels appear original and undisturbed; a few with surface abrasions and tight hairline cracks all presently stable. A particularly artistic example of the model, displaying a very elaborate beaded decorative scheme to the shade. The shade is cleverly perforated in select areas of the decoration for added ventilation. The exterior of the turtle back tiles are wonderfully iridized and display a wide range of jeweled hues.
