Condition
Overall very good condition. There is possibly a later applied finish to the sideboard that has a shiny finish. This piece was clearly designed en suite with the dining suite offered as lot 80 in this auction and is executed in the same highly figured wood selection. The wooden surfaces present with gentle fading from sun exposure and some scattered shallow surface scratches, edge nicks and dings consistent with age and use. The marble top of the sideboard with very nice veining and deeply contrasting white, gray and black tones. The metal elements of the design with evidence of the minor oxidation which is consistent with the natural aging process of the material. The interior of the sideboard is fitted with a lighter colored sycamore wood. The proper right and proper left sides of the interior are fitted each with a single adjustable shelf. With one key. The sideboard with a very nice figuring to the wood selection which is elegantly contrasted by the marble and the metal detailing.
