Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 4 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout the shade. The shade leading presents with a dark metallic patina that is complementary to the riser wheel and finial. The finial with some very light scattered surface scratches and light discolorations, consistent with age. The underside of the riser wheel with some concentrated discolorations localized around the screw head. The finial and riser wheel appear to be period. The cream and yellow-toned background glass presents slightly less orange than seen in the catalogue illustration. A very nice example of the dragonfly motif showing vivid tones of indigo, cobalt and green, which are accentuated by the metalwork overlays of the dragonfly wings.
