Catalogue Note

The Kita family enjoyed a close relationship with George Nakashima after being placed in the same internment camp in Minidoka, ID during World War II. Yuri Kita worked in the tool shed and became friends with George when he came in to check out tools. Later the Kita family moved to Bucks County and acquired the three lots on offer, and continued a close friendship with Nakashima for many years.
