Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The top of the table shows minor evidence of gentle use including shallow surface scratches, minor edge nicks and some scattered areas of rubbing to the finish. As seen in the catalogue illustration, there are two areas of minor rubbing to the finish (one along the centerline of the table and the second to the immediate table edge) that currently present lighter in color. The legs show minor nicks, dings and scratches that are consistent with age and use. The wood selected for the top of this table with nice figuring and rich caramel colored sap lines at the immediate edges. The top of the table is comprised of multiple seamed boards which adds a wonderful visual depth across the table. A nice scale table showing the signature aesthetic of George Nakashima.
