Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The table with a few minor nicks, dings and scratches, consistent with age and gentle use. One of the trompe l'oeil fabric corners of the fabric drapery with a small edge loss to the lower portion of the folded edge, measuring 1 ½ inch in width. The table top with one tight age crack presently stable, measuring approximately 4 ½ inches in length and extends 1 ¼ inch down the side of the table. The smoothness of the fabric-esque wood contrasts beautifully with the rectilinear carved decoration of the legs. A wonderful example of the artist's trompe l'oeil designs showing well-varied figuration in the wood surfaces and great technical skill in the execution of the fabric folds.
