Description

  • Charles and Ray Eames
  • Pair of "DCW" Chairs
  • each branded E2
  • rosewood, rubber shock mounts, and chromium-plated metal

Condition

Overall in very good condition. Each of the chairs present with a rich rosewood hue that is more saturated than what appears in the catalogue illustration. Both chairs present with a few minor surface scratches and a few minor veneer losses along the immediate edges, which appear to have occurred a long time ago. One of the chairs with a concentrated area of deeper surface scratches and a minor abrasion to the central portion of the backrest (which is visible in the catalogue illustration). The other chair with a series of three minor veneer losses along the lower edge of the reverse of the backrest extending approximately ¾ inch in length and ¼ inch height. Both chairs appear to retain all of their original hardware. Very good examples of this chair model to appear in rare rosewood.
