Condition

Overall in good condition. The shade with approximately 12 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout the shade. With surface soiling around many of the exterior lead lines and to the recessed contours of the rippled glass. The shade leading has been restored and stabilized in several concentrated areas along the mid section of the shade as well as to the top aperture. These restorations are clearly visible on inspection of the interior of the shade. A few pieces of glass are possibly replaced as suggested by their slightly varying mottled hues. The shade is slightly out of round, presumably from a prior impact. The decorated base is in very good condition displaying a particularly rich russet brown patina. The base shows a few light surface scratches, light discolorations, and minor rubbing to patina, localized to the standard and the outermost contours of the cushion base. The base and hardware with light surface soiling to the recessed contours. All sockets and paddle switches appear to be old period replacements. The sockets are configured for small diameter candle bulbs. With period finial. The base lacking upper riser component. An unusual variant from Tiffany’s geometric series displaying vigorously mottled glass.
