Literature
David A. Hanks and Jennifer Toher, Donald Deskey: Decorative Designs and Interiors, New York, 1987, p. 169 (for a related model)
Condition
Overall very good condition. The chromium-plated surfaces with a few light surface scratches, dings, and very light rubbing scattered throughout, consistent with age and gentle handling. The chromium plating on the base with some slight discoloration scattered throughout, consistent with aging process of the material. The paper shade is later and executed in a shape and material consistent with period documentation of the model. This lamp is electrically stable and fitted with a standard US plug. A very nice lamp design displaying the streamline design principles of Donald Deskeys aesthetic.
