Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is some fine localised craquelure in the darker pigments of the right-hand figure, and some areas (notably in the dark dress of the lady in the centre) have a somewhat rubbed appearance possibly associated with surface cleaning. Ultra-violet light reveals spots of retouching notably in the forehead and chin of the woman to the left, in the eyebrow of the woman to the right of the composition, and to the left framing edge. This work is otherwise in good overall condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
