Condition

The canvas has been lined. Very fine craquelure is visible on the painted surface, along with some horizontal and vertical lines which could possibly be old stretcher marks. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals strokes of retouching towards the lower right and left corner, and along the framing edges. The picture is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a simple gilt frame.
