  • 71 by 101cm., 28 by 39¾in.

Provenance

Baroness Ingeborg Bille-Brahe-Selby, Rønninge søgård (a wedding present in 1953); thence by descent to the present owner

Condition

The canvas has not been lined. A very fine stretcher mark is visible along the upper edge, and some very small spots of light surface dirt are scattered on the painted surface. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some uneven fluorescence in the sky (notably in the upper right corner and below the clouds to the left), however this appears to correspond to the artist's original pigments rather than retouching.. The picture is in good, apparently original condition, and ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
