Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There are some minor lines of hairline craquelure, notably in the sky. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals old residual traces of varnish which fluoresces more opaquely notably in the foliage to the left and in the lower left quadrant. Some relatively minor strokes of retouching are however visible in the sky, in the ground below the fruit to the right, and possibly to the left. The overall appearance is good the work is ready to hang. Presented in a gilt frame.
