Condition
The extreme edges of the sheet have been laid onto a mount with an aperture in the centre, and the sheet has been backed with japan paper. The sheet is somewhat time-stained evenly. As visible in the catalogue illustration there are a number of old repaired tears in the sheet, notably two in the masts in the upper centre, in the sky in the upper-right corner of the composition, and in the walking man in the lower centre. Presented framed and glazed.
Compared with the catalogue illustration, the paper tone is somewhat darker and more of a warm-brown.
