Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Under ultraviolet light there are some areas of fluorescence which would certainly appear to be the artist's originals; the only clear signs of retouching are some very minor scattered spots in the sky, some strokes just above the centre of the horizon, and some possible old strokes towards the upper-left and upper-right corners.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame, with a white-painted inner slip.
