Condition
The canvas has not been lined. The canvas is very slightly undulating and could benefit from being tapped out. Ultraviolet light reveals only minor signs of retouching: addressing frame rubbing along the extreme edges, a small stroke in the lower left of the figure's shawl, and a few minor scattered spots. This work is in good condition.
Presented in an elaborate gilt frame, wtih an inner black-painted slip with a decorative motif.
