Condition
This painting is in good condition and ready to hang.
The canvas has not been lined. There is a very faint pattern of hairline craquelure consistent with an unlined painting of this age. Ultraviolet light reveals an even varnish which fluoresces quite opaquely obscuring a clear reading of the surface, however there appears to be a small handful of minor scattered spots of retouching, notably to the chest and left arm of the figure in the foreground and in the figure to the left of her, and a few spots in the left half of the sky.
Presented in a simple frame, with silver gilt inner and outer accents.
