Condition
This painting is in good overall condition and ready to hang.
The canvas has been relined. There are some scattered faint lines of hairline craquelure notably in the darker pigments around the figure's face, and some scattered frame rubbing along the framing edges. Ultraviolet light reveals two areas of retouching in the background, one circa 5 by 17cm above the figure's right shoulder and one circa 6 by 6cm in the far upper-left corner, and some scattered minor spots notably a few very small spots to the left of the figure's right eye.
Presented in a decorative gilt rococo-style frame.
