Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Under ultraviolet light the old varnish fluoresces quite opaquely and there are just a couple of minor areas of retouching, notably a circa 2 by 6cm area in the gable end of the building, a circa 3 by 7cm area in the extreme upper left corner, and some minor strokes along the top edge. Although minor in extent these retouchings have discoloured somewhat over time and are visible to the naked eye. The painting is otherwise in good original condition.
