Condition

The panel is flat and even. There is a small circa 8cm horizontal hairline crack near the centre of the right framing edge which appears to be stable and is not visually distracting. Ultraviolet light reveals scattered minor spots of cosmetic retouching, primarily in the upper half of the sky, and scattered spots addressing frame rubbing at the extreme edges; only minimal signs of retouching are visible in the foreground of the composition. This painting is in good condition, and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt rococo-style frame, with a nameplate.
