Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Under ultraviolet light the varnish fluoresces evenly and quite opaquely, and there are a few possible spots of old retouching primarily near the lower edge. This painting is in good condition and its appearance could be further enhanced with a light surface clean. Presented in a decorative gilt frame, with a silver-painted inner slip and a nameplate.
