Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a pattern of hairline craquelure visible notably in the light pigments of the sky to the lower-left of centre. Ultraviolet light reveals retouching in a circa 20 by 4cm vertical band near the left framing edge with adjacent clustered spots, primarily in the dark foliage of the leftmost quarter of the composition; elsewhere the varnish fluoresces opaquely however there appears to be minimal further retouching.
The painting is presented in the original frame, designed by the artist.
