- Emilie Preyer

- oil on canvas
- 17 by 23cm., 6¾ by 9in.
Provenance
Acquired by the family of the present owner by 1960; thence by descent
Condition
The canvas has been relined. There is a tiny spot of paint flaking in the peach to the left, and some light signs of frame rubbing near the extreme edges. Ultraviolet light reveals a thick and relatively even varnish, and clustered small spots of retouching primarily in the lower right quadrant in the tablecloth, in the darker pigments of the fruit to the right, and a thin circa 5cm line in the top of the grapes and background. The overall appearance of the painting is good and it is ready to hang.
Presented in a substantial decorative gilt frame.
