The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This work may not have been recently cleaned but looks well. The panel is flat and the canvas is well adhered. The paint layer is stable. The paint layer is very thickly applied, and no retouches are clearly visible under ultraviolet light. However, there is a good possibility that retouches would become more apparent if the work were cleaned. There seems to be a vertical band of retouching in the water on the right side that runs from the tail of the duck on the far right up towards the far bank of the pond. If the picture were cleaned, it is likely that other similar retouches would become more apparent.
