Condition

Catalogue Note

This chandelier is based upon the celebrated model by Pierre Gouthière in the Cabinet doré in the Royal Palace of Versailles illustrated by H. Ottomeyer et al., p. 238, fig. 4.4.1. The design for the chandelier is also illustrated in the aforementioned literature, p. 238, fig. 4.4.2., which is now in the Museé des Arts Décoratifs.
