of inverted pear form, painted with colorful flower arrangements, the shoulders set with twig handles, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue.

Condition

The cover: There are some occasional minor chips to the edges of flowers and leaves, which are mostly restored. One of the two applied butterflies on the cover is restored and the other has the tip of one of its wings chipped. The vase: The interior rim edge of the vase is oversprayed, possibly covering haircrack/s; however the exact nature of the damage is not apparent. There are occasional chips or losses to the edges of the applied flowers, leaves or fruit, which are mostly restored. The putto near the handle is completely oversprayed, the overspray possibly covering restorations to his arms, legs and wings; the restoration is well done. The other putto on the foot of the vase has restoration and overspray to his torso, left arm and wings. The handle near the putto has an approximate 4 1/2-inch section at tthe upper portion broken off and repaired with some overspray. The other handle has an approximate 3-inch long area on the lower portion broken and restored back.
