Catalogue Note

Anthony Ludovic Regnier (1851-1930) specialized in flower paintings for Deck, which he mostly painted on a pale blue ground similar to the present example. A similar charger is illustrated by Bernard Bumpus in Théodore Deck, Céramiste, 1821-91, cat. no. 17.
