Condition

This early print, on cool, lightweight paper with a matte surface, is in essentially excellent condition. This print delivers broad tonality and a fascinating amount of detail about this curling plant structure. Extremely faint silvering is visible upon close examination in the dark areas. The print is trimmed to the image, and the lower corners are rounded. There is insignificant darkening at the periphery of the print. None of these issues is immediately apparent or detracts from the very fine appearance of this early print. Light soiling and scattered foxing are visible on the reverse of the print. 'N54' and other illegible, faint numerical notations are in pencil on the reverse. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
