Princeton, Princeton University Art Museum, The Stanley J. Seeger Jr. Collection, 1961, no.64, illustrated
Condition
Unexamined out of frame.
The work is not fully laid down, but is adhered to a backing card in at least all four corners with deckled edges throughout. There is an unevenly cut right hand edge, with a tiny spot of loss to the bottom, above the signature. There are handling marks, nips and nicks to the extreme edge, in line with the work being float-mounted, most visible in the top left corner. There is staining to the sheet, with a couple of traces of minor possible foxing visible upon close inspection. There is some further flattening to the tips of some of the thicker impasto, but this excepting the work appears in good overall condition.
Housed behind glass in a gilt frame, float-mounted within a cream card mount.
