Catalogue Note

Gundorph Albertus (1887-1954) joined the Georg Jensen workshop in 1911 as a chaser. He was trained as a sculptor at the Royal Academy of Arts and exhibited as Charlottenburg and at the salon d'Automne in Paris. He was awarded medals at Paris World Exhibitions in 1925 and 1937. From 1926 to 1954, he served as the Company's Assistant Director and designed the Cactus flatware pattern in 1930.
