Catalogue Note
There is little known of the firm of Whiteside and Oaslake, but they are listed in a 1911 trade directory as 'Art Metal Workers', the Broadway, West Hendon.
The design of these high quality lamps is unusual as they combine a popular Edwardian French revival flourish with more modern planished copper shades in a Newlyn style.
