i) hand-written list for a parlour game, assigning personal characteristics to card suits,  with two hand-coloured engravings and an embossed medallion portrait of Napoleon on pink paper laid down on the same leaf, one page, folio, removed from an album, early 19th century, framed and glazed (frame size 29 by 24cm., 11½ by 9½in.), marginal nicks

ii) "A [Letter] [to] Sir L[awrenc]e Dund[as]" and "An answer [to] the [Devil]", a pair of satirical engravings on the Scottish politician Sir Lawrence Dundas (1712-81) in the form of mock-letters with extensive use of rebuses, the second letter with a red wax seal impression, removed from a printed volume (the pages numbered 28 and 29), 2 pages, quarto, probably mid-18th century, framed and glazed (frame size 33 by 51cm., 13 by 20in.), not examined out of frame
