  • polychrome silk needlework on cotton ground, ikat lining
  • approximately: 282 by 198cm., 9ft 3in by 6ft 6in.

Condition

Comprised of joined panels, two across the top, two up the sides, and four within the main field. Edged with ribbon braid. Predominantly lined with cerise and gold coloured silk ikat, with whole section towards centre not lined. Long blue stitches holding it in place at edges. Some tension at corners which do not lie flat and so might benefit from being reattached. Overall good condition.
