Condition

Comprised of nine joined panels in total. Seven joined panels (with the two outer panels comprised of two sections, as have central joins). There are some areas of weakness to the purple silk ground, visible as small splits, predominantly in the area of centre of the two long borders. Presently lined with linen. Evidence of ikat backing underneath, which is just visible under some splits, at some panel join sections and edge sections. Exceptionally fine embroidery, worked over panel joins. Lovely colour.
