Catalogue Note
Elin Svipdag was a Swedish painter, sculptor and engraver. She gained a degree in Theology at Stockholm University, which would influence her work. She exhibited at the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm and The Kunst Museum in Copenhagen and some of her works were officially commissioned by The Government House in Stockholm. The present lot is one of several mosaic pictures she made between 1968 and 1971. She used to describe them as "Mystical Visionary Art".
